C-17 Near Disaster

Scary incident here (by Amy Butler of Aviation Week) a C-17 with 176 Pakistani refugee's on board (they were escaping the recent flooding) was struck by Lightning causing massive systems failure, including the loss of all 4 Engines. Yeah, I'll bet it was very quiet in the back of that aircraft while it soared around.

Fortunately the crew nursed two engines back to life and the aircraft made a safe landing. Good on them, there were a lot of folks on that airlifter and this was a humanitarian mission. This would have looked ugly had that big airlifter augured in. I am glad the boy's in blue kept that beast in the air if even for a short time.
I wonder how many new flight suites were needed by that Flight Crew?

BT: Jimmy T sends.
